He does the stairs again
Murphy is eleven and for the last year or so he had started waiting at the bottom of the stairs for one of us to carry him. Coat texture is usually the first thing owners notice, generally somewhere in weeks three and four. Skin takes longer because your dog is rebuilding a barrier, not covering one up. Give it a full sixty days before you judge it.
Most dogs treat salmon oil as a topper rather than a supplement, and fussy eaters often finish the bowl faster with it on. If your dog refuses fish oil they have had before, it is worth knowing that rancid oil is the usual reason.
